Anna ISD | Rosamond-Sherley Elementary School

This new elementary school is bridging the gap between maintaining equality with the existing elementary schools in the district and the future of Anna ISD. The two-story classroom wing is designed to support up to 800 students in grades Pre-K through 5. With daylight as a priority, the building provides exterior windows for every classroom. The overhead high windows allow for light to fill the Media Center, which is positioned as the core of all the academic spaces. There is physical and visual connection to the media center on both levels to promote the multi-functional use of this space, and dedicated spaces for Art, Music, Special Education, and Science are positioned to provide ease of access. The exterior play areas are nestled into the building perimeter to promote a safe and secure play area while providing excellent visual oversight by staff. The building also extends overhead to provide cover for the play equipment during inclement weather.
